Tasks & Responsibilities: 

    As the Team Lead - Embedded Hardware Development, you will lead a talented team of engineers in designing, developing, and optimizing RFID reader hardware products. You will be responsible for overseeing all stages of hardware development, from initial concept through to mass production, ensuring performance, quality, and innovation are at the forefront.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Mentor and guide a team of 6 hardware engineers, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.
    • Lead the design and development of embedded hardware solutions for RFID reader products.
    • Oversee the integration of RFID technologies, including NFC, HF, and BLE, into hardware platforms.
    • Collaborate closely with software, firmware, and mechanical engineering teams to ensure seamless integration.
    • Provide technical leadership in circuit design, PCB layout, antenna design, and signal processing.
    • Lead hardware validation and testing, including EMC/EMI, thermal management, and power consumption optimization.
    • Manage the entire product lifecycle, from prototyping through to final production.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products that meet industry standards.
    • Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in RFID and embedded systems.


Skills & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
    • 8+ years of experience in embedded hardware development, preferably in RFID reader or similar products.
    • Demonstrated leadership and team management experience, with the ability to mentor and grow talent.
    • Strong expertise in RFID technology (NFC, HF, BLE), antenna design, and signal processing.
    • Proven experience in embedded system design, including microcontrollers, power management, and wireless communication.
    • Proficiency with CAD tools for circuit design (e.g., Altium Designer, Eagle).
    • Solid knowledge of PCB design and layout principles.
    • Hands-on experience in hardware testing, validation, and certification (EMC, safety, etc.).
    • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Fluency in English and at least conversational German.

    Nice-to-Have:

    • Experience with IoT devices and low-power design.
    • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
