Duties & Responsibilities

In your role as an Assembly Technician with ELATEC, you will:

  • Assemble and test RFID readers and other products which may consist of very small components
  • Read and interpret assembly instructions
  • Operate and read precision measuring devices
  • Perform tests which includes collecting data, compiling reports and making corrections
  • Maintain a clean and organized assembly bench area
  • Adhere to safety, ISO and anti-static policies
  • Pick and pack products
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management

Essential Skills, Experience and Qualifications

    As a candidate for Assembly Technician, you must have these requirements:

  • High School Diploma 
  • Fluency in verbal and written English, including the ability to read, write and interpret documents such as technical drawings, operating and maintenance instructions, and safety rules
  • Attention to detail, with the ability to follow specific work instructions and process control sheets to deliver precise work, as defined by the Company and ISO documentation
  • Manual dexterity and fine motor skills
  • Ability to sit/stand at workstation and maintain focus for entirety of shift while performing repetitive and non-repetitive tasks
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency using a PC
  • Flexibility, with the ability to easily adapt to changes within the work environment, delays, or unexpected events
  • Initiative and self-direction, with the ability to work independently and also as part of a team
  • Ability to use hand tools
  • Dependability, including reliable transportation to be at work when scheduled
  • A professional demeanor with a high level of respect for others and accountability for your own actions
  • Safety focused, with a high degree of concern for observing safety and security guidelines
  • Eligibility to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship
  • Basic understanding of the metric measuring system
  • Preferred qualifications include 1 year of experience in electronics assembly or manufacturing, experience in an ISO environment, and/or  a technical degree
